The Leslie Andree Hanna Medical Scholarship is a one-time given to a deserving student who is attending medical or osteopathic school. The recipient may reapply for the scholarship each year, but is not guaranteed the award. A preferred amount of $5,000 may be given. At least two, but not more than four letters of recommendation must be submitted by the deadline. Recommendations should convey the applicant's ability, work habits, integrity, character, potential, and volunteer activities. Individuals providing recommendations may include teachers, counselors, instructors, employers, ministers, or personal or professional references (no family members). Applicants must also submit a copy of their proof of United States citizenship: birth certificate, naturalization papers, or information page of United States Passport must be included. If using a passport as proof of citizenship, applicants must cover their photograph. Submitting an expired passport or picture of themselves will result in the application being disqualified.
