The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society is pleased to administer the Lina & Jitendra Shah Family Scholarship for medical students. This scholarship was established in 2017 and is made possible by contributions received from Drs. Jitendra and Lina Shah of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Applicants must be a Pennsylvania resident for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student, not including time spent attending an undergraduate or graduate school. Applicant must be a resident of Philadelphia County or of the following municipalities in Lower Bucks County at the time of application. Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, or Bensalem Township. Applicants must be enrolled in a fully accredited Pennsylvania medical school. Applicants must be entering or enrolled in their first-year or second-year of medical school. Applicants must submit two reference letters, from persons other than family members, documenting the applicant's integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician. One reference letter must be from either an undergraduate college/university professor or a physician.
