The Lucy Blair Service Award acknowledges and honors physical therapists and physical therapist assistants whose contributions to the association at both the national and component levels, like those of Lucy Blair, have been of exceptional value and impact. Nominees must be physical therapists or physical therapist assistants who are current members in good standing of the association. Nominees must demonstrate impact and service to the association as a whole or to the association's components or elements relative to the national association; and impact made through service in one or more volunteer roles in the association. The type of contribution and the value of the contribution will be scored on a district, component, national, and international level and on the category of service (e.g., service in governance, service in advocacy, service in education). Nomination or self-nomination statement must be submitted to begin the process. Then, the nominee must submit their current curriculum vitae or resume; online application; and four support statements obtained from individuals who can specifically address one or more of the criteria for selection.
