Maine State Grant Program for Adult Learners

Description

The 2020-2021 Maine State Grant Program for Adult Learners provides need-based grants to Maine residents with a date of birth on or before January 1, 1997 who file their FAFSA on or after May 1 are automatically considered for the grant. No other forms are required. Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis one time only. Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate program at an eligible college/university in Maine. Students enrolled in NEBHE's Tuition Break Program, the New England Regional Student Program, may also be eligible. Applicant must not be a Maine State Grant recipient from any of the following academic years: 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020. Because this is a need-based grant, the applicant's expected family contribution (EFC) must not exceed the maximum EFC set in any given year. The EFC for the 2020-2021 academic year is 8,000.
