The Mark Martinez Scholarship was created to honor the life of Mark Martinez who passed away suddenly on April 17, 2017. Mark was employed by the Town of Firestone and made his home in the community. Mark felt at home in the outdoors, he found tranquility in camping, hunting, fishing, and sports. He was a devoted husband and doting father. There truly wasn't anything he wouldn't do to make them happy. Mark enjoyed all aspects of life and definitely left his mark on all he came in contact with. The scholarship award is restricted to educational expenses related to study at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming fall semester. Applicants must be a senior at Frederick High School. They must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 with no F's on the transcript. Applicants must submit a 2-3 minute video as part of the scholarship application. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Longmont Community Foundation for more information.
