The Mary Houliston MacDonald Scholarship for Women was established by Mary Houliston MacDonald. Mary wanted to make it possible for women who are divorced, widowed or abandoned by their husbands to obtain the education or training opportunities necessary to be independent. This scholarship is currently accepting applications. Applicants may have been abandoned by her husband or the father of her children, widowed, or divorced. They must plan to or currently attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
