The Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship will be awarded to students who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A letter of acceptance into the Nursing Program or the transcript stating that the applicant is in the Nursing Program must be enclosed with the application. Preference will be given to candidates from the Lowell, MA area. At least two, but not more than four letters of recommendation must be submitted by the deadline. Recommendations should convey the applicant's ability, work habits, integrity, character, potential, and volunteer activities. Individuals providing recommendations may include teachers, counselors, instructors, employers, ministers, or personal or professional references (no family members). Applicants must also submit a copy of their proof of United States citizenship: birth certificate, naturalization papers, or information page of United States Passport must be included. If using a passport as proof of citizenship, applicants must cover their photograph. Submitting an expired passport or picture of themselves will result in the application being disqualified.
