This Miller Center Service Scholarship is open to students with a demonstrated record of service and volunteer work. Miller Center Service Scholars are individuals who, having worked effectively and enthusiastically with volunteer service projects during their high school years, are committed to volunteering regularly while in college and resolved to make leadership through volunteer service a part of their future. The Service Scholars cohort also provides a core group of leaders and volunteers for the Volunteer Action Committee, which further expands the involvement of students across campus in the practice of serving others with empathy, justice, and self-understanding, while building community for support, active learning, and growth.
