The Miriam E. Kay Memorial Scholarship is a four-year renewable award totaling $8,800, offered to graduating Hispanic seniors from six designated high schools in the Texas Hill Country. Applicants may enroll in either a two-year or four-year accredited college, university, or technical school, and must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to remain eligible for continued funding. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, community service, and financial need. Recipients are required to submit an official college transcript each year, and must be accepted full-time by December 31 of the award year to receive the scholarship.
