Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant

Description

The primary objective of MESG is to provide educational opportunities for high-achieving high school students who wish to pursue postsecondary education in the state. A recipient may receive MESG up to 8 semesters (12 trimesters) or degree completion, whichever comes first. MESG awards up to $2,500 per academic year, but awards may not exceed tuition and required fees. No student may receive undergraduate grant aid through more than one state-supported undergraduate grant program in the same term of enrollment. Some application notes: New applicants and some renewal applicants with a break in enrollment will be required to submit two forms of residency documentation (example: FAFSA, MS driver's license, state tax return, etc.). National ACT score requirement for entering freshman is a minimum of 29 (1350 for SAT). Application Dates: October 1 September 15. Supporting Documents Deadline: October 15 (following September 15 application deadline).
