Two-year postdoctoral fellowship in any area of early American studies. The candidate's dissertation or other manuscript must have significant potential as a distinguished, book-length contribution to scholarship. A substantial portion of the work must be submitted with the application. Applicants may not have previously published or have under contract a scholarly monograph, and they must have completed ALL requirements for the Ph.D., including defense, before applying. Foreign nationals are eligible to apply. Fellowship term begins July 1 each year; apply by November 1.
