The Peter F. Vallone Scholarship supports New York City high school graduates who have proven their ability to succeed academically while they were in high school. Awardees currently receive $800 per year ($400 per semester). Scholarship awards may vary from year to year. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, an eligible non-citizen, in Temporary Protected Status, holding a T-Visa or U-Visa, or without lawful immigration status, and be domiciled in NYC. Students must have graduated from a NYC high school with at least a B average within a year of their initial enrollment as a first-time freshman in a college of The City University of New York System. There is no separate application for the scholarship. Students are automatically considered for the award when they apply for admission to CUNY.
