The Pride Foundation Community Scholarships will be awarded to students who lack a broader LGBTQ+ community support system, demonstrate leadership and leadership potential on LGBTQ+ issues, face additional barriers to educational access (especially LGBTQ+ students of color, transgender students, LGBTQ+ immigrant students, LGBTQ+ youth aging out of foster care, and students who have experienced homelessness, poverty, or isolation due to geography), and show significant financial need. Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the coming 2026-2027 school year. This includes community college; four-year public or private college or university; certificate programs; vocational, technical, or trade programs; law school; medical, dental, veterinary school; or graduate education. Applicants are required to submit three essays for application: the Personal Statement and Community Involvement and Vision Essay, both which may be submitted as a video or written essay; and the Financial Picture Essay, which must only be submitted as a written essay. The following materials are optional and may be submitted with the application: academic transcript (official or unofficial); resume, which must include work experience and school activities and honors; extracurricular and community activities, including volunteer roles, arts, and/or activism; a letter of recommendation; and 1-2 writing or art samples.
