Princeton University Stinnecke Prize

Description

The Princeton University Stinnecke Prize is available to sophomore or junior students in all departments who pass the best examination based on the Odes of Horace, Eclogues of Vergil, and the Latin Grammar and Prosody, as well as the Anabasis of Xenophon or Plato's Euthyphro, Crito, Apology and Phaedo and the Greek Grammar. The exam lasts three hours and involves the translation of Greek and Latin passages as well as grammatical questions in both languages. Students are expected to have at least 108-level competence in both languages. The exam will be held on May 2, 2024, from 1:30-5:00 pm (EST). Students may contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies for more information.
