The Ralph and Janice James Endowed Scholarship Fund aims to provide financial assistance to a worthy UMass Boston student who has been affiliated with Tenacity, Inc., a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation, the mission of which is to improve the scholastic character and physical development of urban youth combining tennis instruction/competition and academic support with a focus on life skills. In any given year, if there are no Tenacity-related students available, then the award may be given to another deserving student.
