Description

The Riverside Math and Science Scholarship will be awarded to those who will or attend any college or university in West Virginia. Applicants must be graduating seniors with a GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or graduates of Riverside High School attending a college or university in WV with a GPA of 2.85. They must pursue a degree in Math or Science, including engineering, medicine, teaching math or science, etc. They must have a B average in high school mathematics and also a B average in Honors Chemistry, Honors Physics or other elective honors science classes. Applicants must also demonstrate a history of community service and have a positive attendance and disciplinary records, which must be reflected in the required personal essay. They must have involvement in a local church or religious group, which must also be reflected in the required personal essay. Applicants must submit their most recent grades.
