The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Engineering/Geology Scholarship will be awarded to students who are a resident of one of the RMMI member states, and looking for a career in the mining industry. Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year degree program and in good standing at the time of selection. They must be pursuing a degree in a mining-related field or in the engineering disciplines such as mining, geology, mineral processing, metallurgy, electrical, mechanical and environmental. Applicants must have an expressed interest in mining as a career path. Applications will be reviewed and rated by the Scholarship Committee. Interviews of top candidates may be conducted. The scholarship is annual and may be renewed for up to three consecutive years. Applicants must submit an, which includes any academic and athletic honors, extracurricular activities, and why they feel they deserve this scholarship. Three references, which includes the name, address, business and home phone number, company or business name, and years acquainted must also be submitted. Letters of reference or recommendation must be attached to the application. Applications may be submitted through either mail or email.
