Ruth and Joseph Kremen Memorial Fellowship

Description

The Ruth and Joseph Kremen Memorial Fellowship is dedicated to assist an undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate researcher in the fields of Eastern European Jewish arts, music and theater. There is no geographical restriction and researchers can apply the fellowship to work on Eastern European Jewish diasporas on any continent. This fellowship carries a stipend to defray expenses connected with research in the YIVO's arts, music and theater archival collections and library. The required period of research is two to three months, and a public lecture by the holder is also required. Applicants must submit a cover letter, where they can introduce themselves and their project, and specify the fellowship for which they wish to apply. Applicants must also submit a summary of their research plan, specifying those YIVO resources that they intend to utilize. Then, applicants must provide the name and e-mail address of two academic references. They will receive an e-mail with information on how to upload a letter of reference. Please visit the fellowship's website or contact the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research for more information.
