The Sanor-Graves Scholarship is for graduating high school seniors or current college students who are currently in the foster care system or have been in the foster care system at some point since age 13 or later. They must plan to enroll at an accredited four-year private or public university in the United States in fall. Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to serving their community and/or have paid work experience. Preference may be given to individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic. A document on official letterhead from a social worker indicating that the applicant is currently or have been previously at some point since age 13 or later in foster care is required. For those applicants under kinship care, the document you need is the letter of legal guardianship (JV 330.) This is provided when your relatives take official guardianship of the child.
