Description

The Sara C. Andrews Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Sara C. Andrews, who was deeply rooted in Illinois, in her farm and in her family. Applicants must be an Illinois Farm Bureau member, spouse or child of a member. They must be majoring in agriculture, agribusiness, or a closely related field. Two $1,000 awards will be given to incoming freshmen, and two $2,500 awards will be given to incoming juniors. Preference will be given to students actively engaged in agriculture on a family farm operation. In addition to individual scholarship eligibility guidelines, selection of recipients is based on activities and involvement, financial plan, essay response, personal statements and in some cases, academic performance.
