The SEU Link Mentor Scholarship is open to students who are either a residential mentor or an academic mentor. The Residential mentor role is perfect for individuals passionate about leadership, mentorship, and making a positive impact in the lives of students with unique abilities. In addition to making a meaningful impact on students, RMs benefit from personal growth opportunities, developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that will serve them in future careers and life endeavors. Residential Mentors receive a $2,500 stipend per semester as part of their financial aid. On the other hand, academic mentors spend 2-4 hours per week supporting Link students with academic assignments. Training is provided to equip mentors with the skills necessary to effectively implement strategies that promote academic independence among Link students. Academic mentors receive a $1,000 stipend per semester as part of their financial aid. The application deadline for the fall semester is July 1, and the spring semester deadline is December 1.
