Simons Environmental Scholarship was established in the 80s by the Simons Family Foundation. The Simons Family Foundation sought to foster engineering endeavors that benefit the Earth and the Environment. The Foundation established the endowment that still provides this scholarship annually to worthy Georgia engineering students with career plans in Environmental Engineering. Georgia Engineering Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to freshman, upperclassmen, and graduate students. Only high school seniors who have been accepted to an ABET accredited program in the fall are eligible to apply. Entering freshmen must submit their SAT or ACT scores. Incoming freshmen are also required to provide the names and email addresses of three references. Top ranked applicants will be contacted and scheduled for interviews mid-to-end of September. Upperclassmen and graduate students are required to bring an official copy of their most current transcript to the interview. If the applicant is not able to attend an on-campus interview, telephone interviews may be scheduled and conducted.
