The Simons Family Fdn. / Amec Environmental Scholarship was established in the 80s by the Simons Family Foundation. The Simons Family Foundation sought to foster engineering endeavors that benefit the Earth and the Environment. The Foundation established the endowment that still provides this scholarship annually to worthy Georgia engineering students with career plans in Environmental Engineering. Georgia Engineering Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to freshmen, upperclassmen, and graduate students. Only high school seniors who have been accepted to an ABET accredited program in the fall are eligible to apply. Incoming freshmen are required to provide three letters of reference. Letters of reference are best provided by non-family members who have an extended relationship with the applicant. Applicants must provide their names and email addresses. Top ranked applicants will be contacted and scheduled for interviews. Upper classmen and graduate students are required to bring an official copy of their most current transcript to the interview. If the applicant is not able to attend an on-campus interview, telephone interviews may be scheduled and conducted.
