Description

The South Dakota Nurses Association Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship will be awarded to provide financial support for a student pursuing a career in nursing. Applicants must be a resident of South Dakota, with preference for a permanent legal resident of a county in SDNA District 4 (Brown, Campbell, Day, Edmunds, Faulk, Marshall, McPherson, Spink and Walworth counties). Applicants must be enrolled in any accredited standard baccalaureate nursing program. Preference will be given to applicants with active involvement in the South Dakota Student Nurses Association (include discussion of involvement). Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from a staff nurse or a nursing program peer that discusses the applicant's patient advocacy, patient education, compassion and leadership.
