The Southern Coal Providers Association (SCPA) Scholarship will be awarded to students in any college or university. Employees, previous employees, or family members of a (current or previous) coal industry employee within Southern WV are eligible. Qualifications for employment include working for a company engaged in the mining and processing of coal and located within the following West Virginia counties: Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Putnam, Raleigh, Randolph, Roane, Summers, Wayne, Webster, and Wyoming. Additional information is required on page 5 of the application. Applicants must submit their most recent grades. They do not have to be the official transcripts.
