Established in 2014 by Judith G. Mich in honor of her late husband, Dr. Thomas F. Mich, Ph.D. '68. "Speyer" is the name of a city in Southwestern Germany, and was chosen in recognition of the Mich family's German heritage. Applicants must be advanced graduate students majoring in the Chemistry Department who display exceptional promise in research. Preference is given to those pursuing a degree in organic, medicinal, and chemical biology.
