Student Parent Programs awards funding to undergraduate and graduate student parents through our CCAMPIS and SPP Child Care Tuition Assistance Programs to help defray the cost of child care, allowing students to focus on their educational goals. To qualify for the child care subsidies, students must be caring for a dependent child at least part-time in their custody, must be actively enrolled in a degree granting program at UMass Amherst as an undergraduate or graduate student on a part-time or full-time basis, and must meet the financial eligibility criteria for program participants - similar to Pell grant income eligibility, determined through Financial Aid Services. Child care expenses can include daycare, pre-k, before and after school programs, and summer child care through EEC licensed or nationally accredited providers.
