The Caxton Club Fellowship for Midwestern Bibliographers supports bibliographical research that focuses on the physical aspects of books or manuscripts as historical evidence. Books and manuscripts in any field and of any period are eligible for consideration. Eligibility is limited to US citizens and residents; and citizens of other nations without US residency who wish to conduct research outside of the United States only. Applicants must submit the following: project title; curriculum vitae; project proposal that should include a statement of the project's broader significance, a description of the specific research they plan to undertake with the support of a BSA fellowship, a description of the materials they hope to consult, and a brief budget and timeline for the proposed project; and one letter of recommendation. Applicants do not need to be members of the Society to apply for a fellowship. However, successful recipients must join the BSA in order to accept a fellowship award. Please visit the fellowship's website or contact the Bibliographical Society of America for more information.
