The Duberman-Zal Fellowship

Description

The Duberman-Zal Fellowship is an endowed fellowship named for CLAGS founder and first executive director, Martin Duberman, and partner, Eli Zal. This fellowship is awarded to a graduate student, an independent scholar, or an adjunct from any country doing scholarly research on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) experience. University affiliation is not necessary. The winner of the fellowship may be asked to participate in CLAGS' programming the following academic year to present their research project. A cover letter with the applicant's contact information, title of their project, names of their recommenders, and the fellowship they are applying for is required. A research proposal with references must also be submitted. Two letters of recommendation are also required. Please visit the fellowship's website or contact CLAGS for more information.
