The Matthew S. Therrien $1000 Memorial Award is available to outstanding students majoring in English at UH Hilo. Students must have demonstrated coursework excellence in writing (fiction and/or non-fiction). Students are nominated by the English faculty. Demonstrated community service and publication of fiction or non-fiction are highly desired criteria but are not required. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
