The Microsoft Disability Scholarship Program

Description

The Seattle Foundation and the Disability at Microsoft Inclusion Network have established a scholarship program to assist current high school seniors who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs and pursue various eligible areas of study. Applicants must plan to enroll at an accredited college or university, or vocational-technical school, in the United States, for the entire upcoming academic year. They must pursue a degree in the following eligible majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Law, Business, or related field - Paralegal, Pre-Law, Finance, Business Administration, or Marketing. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for technology and demonstrate leadership at school and/or in the community. International students are eligible to apply if enrolling in a US college or university. Employees and children of employees of Microsoft are ineligible. One online recommendation form from a faculty or staff member at the applicant's school or a member of the community that has worked with the applicant in a supervisory role must be submitted on the applicant's behalf no later than three business days after the application deadline date. Upper secondary school diploma or certificate, if earned, must be submitted by international applicants only. They may also submit results of examinations and English translations for any non-English documents. Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor's degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
