University of Alaska Fairbanks Alaska Adventure Award

Description

Nanooks push the boundaries of what's possible, and this award supports nonresident, soon-to-be adventurers, of any UAF major. The Alaska Adventure Award is a four-year renewable scholarship. This award is available for nonresident students only, and students receiving the Western Undergraduate Exchange Tuition Rate do not qualify. First-year and transfer students may apply. First-year students with a high school GPA of 3.0 - 3.19 may receive $3,000 per year, which is $12,000 for over four years; and those with a high school GPA of 0 - 2.99 may receive $1,000 per year, which is $4,000 for over four years. Transfer students with a previous college GPA of 2.6 - 2.99 may receive $500 per year, which is $2,000 for over four years. Alaska Adventure Award is available for up to four years for continuous enrollment at UAF. Students who complete their UAF bachelor's degree in fewer than 4 years may be eligible to use remaining years for a graduate program, with permission by the Financial Aid Office. Admissions applications must be submitted before the admissions deadlines of June 15 for fall and November 1 for Spring. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
