Idaho State University is proud to be a participating institution in the Yellow Ribbon Program. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows institutions of higher learning in the United States to voluntarily agree with the Department of Veterans Affairs to fund non-resident tuition expenses that exceed the resident tuition and fees, which are covered by the Post-9/11 G.I.Bill benefit. Under this agreement, ISU will fund 50 percent of the eligible non-resident expenses, and the VA will match ISU to cover the remainder of the eligible non-resident expenses. Applicants must be a veteran or an eligible dependent of a veteran. They must have been found eligible to receive Chapter 33 Post 9/11 G.I. Bill benefits at 100 percent eligibility or have been found eligible to receive Chapter 33 Post 9/11 Transfer Of Entitlement at 100 percent eligibility.
