The VWCC African American Railroad Heritage Annual Scholarship is available to students enrolled in a program of study with a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to African-American students. Recipients of the scholarship are required to attend an African-American Railroad Heritage Celebration at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke Virginia, if scheduled. The fall semester scholarship application is available from March to May of the academic year and the Spring semester scholarship application is available from September to October of the academic year.
