Description

The Walling Family Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors who will attend any college in the United States and will major in medicine or nursing. Applicants must be a graduating senior from a public or private high school in Gregg or Rusk County in East Texas. School districts currently eligible include Sabine ISD, Gladewater ISD, White Oak ISD, Spring Hill ISD, Pine Tree ISD, Longview ISD, Kilgore ISD, Leverette Chapel ISD Overton ISD West Rusk ISD, Laneville ISD Mount Enterprise ISD, Henderson ISD, Carlile ISD, Cushing ISD, Beckville ISD, and Tatum ISD. Applicants must submit two letters of reference. One must be from a teacher that can speak to the applicant's character or behavior in the classroom.
