Western Veterinary Scholarship

Description

The Western Veterinary Scholarship supports Oregon residents pursuing careers in veterinary medicine, with preference given to graduate students enrolled in veterinary school. Eligible applicants must be entering their junior year or higher and enrolled full time at a four-year public or nonprofit institution. The scholarship is intended for students majoring in veterinary medicine or pre-vet programs and planning to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Financial need is considered through the required FAFSA, and the award is automatically renewable for students who meet renewal criteria. Applicants must also submit a one-page essay describing their intended practice type and location, offering insight into their professional goals and community impact. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
