William L. Boyd, IV, Effective Access to Student Education Program

Description

The William L. Boyd, IV, Effective Access to Student Education Program provides tuition assistance to undergraduate students attending an eligible private, college or university. Each participating institution determines application procedures, deadlines and student eligibility. The student will meet the application procedures established by the participating institution. Applications may be obtained at the financial aid offices of eligible postsecondary institutions. Applicants must enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours per term, or the equivalent, at an eligible college or university. They must be an undergraduate student who is in the process of attaining a first baccalaureate degree in a program of study leading to a baccalaureate degree. Applicants must meet Florida's general eligibility requirements for receipt of state aid. They must not be enrolled in a program of study leading to a degree in theology or divinity. Students enrolled in upper-level courses within quality, high-demand programs (Teaching, Nursing, Allied Health, Agriculture/Vet Science, Cyber Security and Digital Arts/Computer Graphics), may qualify for an additional stipend. Students may contact the financial aid offices of eligible postsecondary institutions for more information regarding the award amount per term. Applicants must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. They must not have previously received a baccalaureate degree. A student is eligible to receive an award for a maximum of 9 semesters or 14 quarters. The student must not have finished more than 110 percent of the program in which they are enrolled.
