The Window of Opportunity Scholarship was established to support current or former high school graduates from Gillespie County who have either participated in the Fredericksburg Academic Boosters Mentoring Program, rank in the bottom 50 percent of their graduating class, or who have earned (or are pursuing) a GED in Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, or Kerr counties. Applicants must be current graduating students or past graduates of a high school in Gillespie County, or individuals who have earned or are currently pursuing a GED in Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, or Kerr counties. Scholarship recipients may reapply for up to three consecutive years. Returning recipients will be given equal consideration alongside new applicants. Recipients are selected based on eligibility criteria and demonstrated financial need. Applicants must be accepted for enrollment at an accredited college, university, or trade school before the scholarship is awarded. The scholarship award will be forfeited if not accepted by December 31st of the award year. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country for more information.
