The WIT Vera W. Hudson and Elizabeth K. Weisburger Scholarship Fund Student Award is given to a SOT graduate student member (current or pending), who is engaged in full-time graduate study towards a PhD in toxicology, demonstrates outstanding academic achievement in the field of toxicology, and demonstrates leadership and service. Applicants must have dissertation research relevant to the field of toxicology. An accepted abstract for the 2024 SOT Annual Meeting is required. A cover letter written by the applicant highlighting their most significant leadership and service activities and summarizing their academic achievement, scientific achievement, and contributions to the field of toxicology must be submitted. Two letters of recommendation describing the student's academic and scientific achievement and including a description of their leadership and service activities are also required. One letter must be from the applicant's research advisor/mentor and include recognition of the applicant's contributions to the research being presented.
