The Y.C. Yang Civil Engineering Scholarship supports up to two undergraduate students annually who are pursuing civil engineering or related fields at ABET-accredited or equivalent institutions. Applicants must be ASCE Student Members in good standing and demonstrate a clear interest in structural engineering. Previous recipients may reapply if eligibility requirements are met. The scholarship covers tuition and academic fees and is awarded based on a competitive application process due January 15. Required materials include a signed contact form, personal essay, budget statement, transcript, two recommendation letters (including one from faculty), and a resume outlining honors, activities, ASCE involvement, and work experience. Award amounts are determined annually by the ASCE Board of Direction and disbursed directly to the recipientÔÇÖs institution.
