The Yvonne D. Sutton Meyers Endowed Scholarship will give priority to candidates who are from a single parent household or first-generation college student. Priority will also be given to residents of Zwolle, Louisiana; Sabine Parish or St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. If there are no any applicants from these areas, a second priority shall be given to students from the Houston metro area (inclusive of Harris, Ft. Bend, Waller, and Montgomery Counties). Candidates may be either a freshman or upperclassmen. Candidates must have a high school GPA of at least 2.75. If upperclassmen, candidates must have a minimum GPA of at least 2.8. Candidates must also be enrolled at Grambling State University in good standing. Each scholarship recipient shall write and mail a thank you or appreciation note along with a picture to the Custodian (or Custodian's administrator). Each scholarship recipient shall contribute at least 10 hours a semester to support the activities of the Division of Advancement, Research and Economic Development.
