Pratt Is Located in Brooklyn, New York

Pratt Institute's beautifully landscaped 25-acre, park-like main campus is situated among the turn-of-the-century mansions, Victorian brownstones, and wide, tree-lined boulevards of Clinton Hill, one of Brooklyn's landmark designated historic neighborhoods.

Manhattan, the heart of New York City, is only 25 minutes away by subway and offers students a vast array of professional, cultural, and recreational opportunities.

Pratt also has another campus in Manhattan's Chelsea district. "Pratt Manhattan" houses the Institute's graduate programs in arts and cultural management, communications/packaging design, design management, facilities management, and library and information science.

Applying to Pratt

The deadline for applications and all supporting materials, including portfolio, is January 5 for all programs except design management and arts and cultural management, which have a March 1 deadline.

Applicants must submit the online application found at Pratt's Web site. All requirements are found there as well. Early submission of applications with all necessary credentials is highly desirable.

Applications and all supporting documents should be received no later than January 5 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester. Applications received after these dates are considered if openings exist in a particular program.

The TOEFL is required of all students whose first language is not English. Students with four-year degrees from a US institution are not required to take the TOEFL.

The GRE is required for the M.Arch first professional degree, art history, and the joint degree in art history and library science.

The financial aid deadline is February 1.
