Financial Aid for Pratt's Graduate Students
Financial aid awards are offered through a variety of institutional, state, and federally funded programs. These include the Graduate Scholarships awarded by departments on the basis of merit, endowed scholarships awarded by departments, Federal Perkins Loan and Federal Work-Study Programs, the Tuition Assistance Program of New York State, and Pratt loans and student employment.
Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis to continuing students in all departments. Special alumni-sponsored fellowships are also available.
Living and Housing Costs at the Pratt Institute
Campus housing has been expanded to meet students' needs and apartment-style residence halls are available to graduate students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Housing costs average $27,658 (room and board) per academic year.
There is a plentiful supply of moderately priced rentals in the immediate area for those students choosing to reside off campus.

Pratt Institute's beautifully landscaped 25-acre, park-like main campus is situated among the turn-of-the-century mansions, Victorian brownstones, and wide, tree-lined boulevards of Clinton Hill, one of Brooklyn's landmark designated historic neighborhoods.

Pratt also has another campus in Manhattan's Chelsea district. "Pratt Manhattan" houses the Institute's graduate programs in arts and cultural management, communications/packaging design, design management, facilities management, and library and information science.

The deadline for applications and all supporting materials, including portfolio, is January 5 for all programs except design management and arts and cultural management, which have a March 1 deadline.
