The AAG Best Student Paper Award in Geography & Entrepreneurship is for promising research studying geography and entrepreneurship. This award is given to the undergraduate or graduate student who is the sole or primary author on the paper. To be eligible for this award, an individual must still be a student (i.e., still enrolled at the institution where the student pursued their degree) at the time the paper is submitted. The best student paper will be selected based on the importance of the topic to the study of geography and entrepreneurship, contribution to the existing literature, and relevance to the practice. Original papers are encouraged but published work can be submitted. One entry per primary author is permitted. Applicants worldwide are welcome to apply, but all materials must be submitted in English. The purpose of this award program is to identify innovative research in business, applied or community geography, that is relevant to questions related to entrepreneurs and their firms, as well as to relevant practitioners and policymakers. Research that has direct practical implications and addresses pressing environmental, economic and/or social problems is especially appropriate for these awards.
