Description

The Actuary of Tomorrow - Stuart A. Robertson Scholarship was established to honor Stuart A. Robertson's dedication to excellence and recognize his tremendously positive influence on the professional lives of many colleagues. This scholarship recognizes and encourages the academic achievements of undergraduate students pursuing a career in actuarial science. Applicants must be a current college undergraduate planning to enroll at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year. Students graduating mid-year (after Fall term 2025) may be considered for a half-award. They must have successfully completed at least two actuarial exams. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic performance, including performance on actuarial exams; demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities; work experience; essay; and unusual personal or family circumstances, if applicable. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, one letter from an employer (current or previous) and one letter from a professor or advisor. A minimum of two copies of actuarial exam results taken must also be provided. Additional exam results above the required two are optional.
