The objective of the AGA Research Foundation Fellow Abstract Award is to stimulate interest in gastroenterology and hepatology research careers by providing recognition to clinical and postdoctoral fellows with exceptional abstracts accepted by AGA for presentation at DDW. Applicants must be the first author of an abstract or the designated speaker of an oral presentation accepted by AGA for presentation at DDW. Applicants must be clinical or postdoctoral fellows with MD, PhD or equivalent degrees at institutions in North America (U.S., Canada and Mexico). Students and medical residents are ineligible for this award. Fellows outside of North America are ineligible for this award. Applicants who are physician-scientists, female or from racial/ethnic groups underrepresented in biomedical research are strongly encouraged to apply.
