AGA Student Abstract Award

Description

The objective of the AGA Research Foundation Student Abstract Award is to stimulate interest in gastroenterology and hepatology research careers by providing recognition to graduate students, medical students or residents (residents up to postgraduate year three) with exceptional abstracts accepted by AGA for presentation at DDW. Applicants must be the first author of an abstract or the designated speaker of an oral presentation accepted by AGA for presentation at DDW. All high school and undergraduate students are ineligible. Postdoctoral fellows, technicians, visiting scientists and MD research fellows are not eligible for this award. Applicants who are physician-scientists, female or from racial/ethnic groups underrepresented in biomedical research are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a sponsor who is an AGA member in good standing at the time of application submission. For more information, please visit the scholarship's website.
