This award is intended for AHNA to recognize an Advocate or Legislator who supports Holistic Nursing in policy formation and/or legislation. A nominee must demonstrate a long-term commitment to holistic living; develop and implement sustained advocacy for Holistic Nursing or other holistic health-related practices at the national level and/or globally; have contributed greatly to Holistic Nursing through positions in elected and career government service; is an outstanding leader in their field; and has high personal integrity. One letter of nomination and support from an AHNA member with documentation of the candidate's support of Holistic Nursing through advocacy, policy formation and/or legislation must be submitted.
