Description

The Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship will be awarded to support academically superior students undertaking full-time research education. The program is designed to enable students to succeed in Platform Areas of scientific research in the areas of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and/or Nanotechnology. Master's students may receive CAD $26,000 per year and Doctoral students may receive CAD $31,000 per year. Applicants not holding a major National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) award are eligible to receive the full value of the award. Applicants who receive a NSERC award are eligible to receive the full value of the award as follows: Major Award Top-up: CAD $12,000 per year. Applicants must apply through the Faculty of Graduate studies at their university. Application deadlines may vary at each university. Applicants must contact their university for further information. Applicants are selected through a competitive process whereby each application is adjudicated by a review committee.
