Description

The Alice Griffin AAUW Graduate Fellowship was established for female graduate students and provides tuition and fees for women returning to the workforce, needing to make a career change, or seeking a graduate degree to facilitate potential career advancement. The award aims to help cover tuition and fees for the student's pursuit of a master's degree in nursing, business administration, accounting, science or other professional endeavors outside the field of education. Once selected, recipients may apply for a second year of funding. In order to remain eligible to receive continued funding, fellowship recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5. Applicants must demonstrate in their application how the financial assistance will enable them to complete a master's degree in two years. Preference will be given to applicants who are active members of a local chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in Martin or St. Lucie County.
