Description

The Applewood Leadership Scholarship is available for incoming Dutchess Community College students of African or Caribbean descent who are residents of the City of Poughkeepsie. Applicants must be current or former students at Poughkeepsie High School. Recipients of this scholarship will be part of the Applewood Leadership for High Achievement (ALPHA) Initiative at Dutchess Community College. The program will support students working towards an Associate's Degree who are striving towards a four-year degree. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselor, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required.
